Anthurium Pulcachense ~ Medium

Native to San Martín, Peru, Anthurium pulcachense grows in the warm, wet forests of the Peruvian jungle and andes. Its leaves are one of the things that make this species so interesting: they have a thick, leathery feel and a beautiful, structured shape, with a deep green upper surface and a softer, paler underside.

Unlike some Anthuriums that have a more delicate look, A. pulcachense has foliage that feels a little more substantial. The leaves are held upright to spreading as the plant grows, giving it a lovely shape even while it's still young.

It does best with bright, indirect light, warmth, humidity, good airflow, and an airy growing mix that holds moisture without staying soggy. Give it steady conditions and a little patience, and you'll get to enjoy watching those beautiful leaves develop over time.

Plant Size

This Anthurium pulcachense comes in a 4-inch pot. It currently has 3 leaves, measuring approximately 6 inches (15 cm).

One leaf has been slightly trimmed due to the plant's previous condition.
